Constructed with Duraswitch Pushgate® technology, and further protected by thick clear polycarbonate keys and a top layer of 0.060” brushed stainless steel, this design can handle some punishment!
It took our engineers a couple of iterations to reach the extreme impact resistant demands of this customer but the end result exceeded their expectations in terms of being virtually indestructible, easy to read, and offering a light tactile response for users.
The design approach taken with this keypad utilizes several combined capabilities of Miller Dial that make it very difficult for our competitors to win out over us.
The base membrane switch is fabricated by a Miller Dial offshore partner factory. The front and back stainless steel layers, as well as internal structural layers are fabricated at Miller Dial’s El Monte facility. The final unit is efficiently assembled in El Monte.
This solution provides the end customer the advantages of high quality offshore membrane switch fabrication, Miller Dial domestic metal fabrication, and efficient local assembly that allows for low lead times to support customer schedules. Few competitors can offer all of these!
